How does Zhong Gong Cheated people?
Trick one: Charge apprentice fee, education fee and learning material fees. In order to complete the Zhong Gong practice, a student must pay 3010 yuan all together including apprentice fees, education fees of level one to four, a general tutor fee and practice completion fee. Peng Shuixiu is responsible for providing learning materials. The book Secret Law of Yuandun only costs a few yuan but the price the group sets is 2000 yuan.
Trick two: Claiming that Zhong Gong can drive away karma and evil, cure disease and help people to make money (they put the names of the believers onto a list and speak spells to the list to drive away people’s worries and difficulties).
Trick three: Ask believers to donate “worship money” or “merit money”. Some are asked for hundreds, some for about ten thousand.
Trick four: Ask believers to buy their books for curing diseases and maintaining happiness.
Trick five: Making up fallacies of an “energy field” and claiming that it can mediate family disputes, resolve family conflicts and help make money. Most of the believers are ordinary people from rural and poor backgrounds, or sick people belonging to vulnerable groups.
